| Tender Notice: | INDEPENDENT PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE N2 WILD COAST TOLL HIGHWAY T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1) CLOSING DATE (AT 11:00) Friday 08 July 2022 The South African National Roads Agency SOC limited, invites tenders for the provision of Project Environmental Management Services for the N2 Wild Coast project between Ndwalane and the Mtanvuna River. This project is in the province of Eastern Cape and in the district municipality of O.R Tambo and Alfred Nzo and consists of nine (9) primary design packages each with a main works construction contract and one or more additional contracts. One primary contract is already under construction, three primary contracts, three secondary contracts and five hard rock crushing Contracts are in are in adjudication phase and the remaining tenders will be rolled out over the following 12-18 months, followed by construction monitoring of up to 52 months. Only tenderers with a B-BBEE contributor status level of 1, 2, 3 or 4, meet the minimum requirements for the key persons and who are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database at the tender closing date as stipulated in Clause C.2.1, are eligible to tender Joint Ventures (JV) will be allowed on condition that 1 (one) JV partner is a Targeted Enterprise. The JV partner will, however, not contribute to the sub-contract target for Targeted Enterprises (if applicable) Only tenderers whose Key Persons have an appropriate NQF level 8 (Honours or equivalent) qualification, are registered as a Pr.Nat.Sci or EAP and have at least fifteen (15) years of practical experience as an environmental assessment practitioner are eligible to submit tenders. TENDER DOCUMENTS Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format from the SANRAL website using the following link https://www.nra.co.za/service-provider-zone/tenders/open-tenders/. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft © Office 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0 or similar compatible software. Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date i.e. by or on 25 February 2022 Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive. TENDERER’S MEETING A non-compulsory clarification briefing meeting will be held via a virtual platform on Tuesday 04 May 2022 at 11h00 where the project will be presented. A link to the clarification briefing meeting will be sent to tenderers who complete and submit a Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender (Form A1.1).
