  T 1.1      TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1)

CLOSING DATE (AT 11:00): Thursday, 14 December 2023

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the provision of

consulting engineering services for the supervision for slope stability measures at four (4) cuttings at the

following site locations:

1. Grey Street cutting on National Route N2 Section 13, km 51.17 – km 51.54

2. Makhanda cutting on National Route N2 Section 13, km 52.08 – km 52.33

3. Lucingweni cutting on National Route N2 Section 19, km 67.97 – km 68.09

4. Rareni cutting on National Route R410 Section 2, km 39.48 – km 40.22

This project is in the province of Eastern Cape and in the Sarah Baartman, Alfred and Chris Hani district

municipalities and the Makana, Umzimvubu and Sakhisizwe local municipalities and the approximate

programme for the construction supervision of 24 months including 3 months for the Mobilisation Period,

commencing June 2024.

Only tenderers who are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database and meet the

minimum requirements for the key persons as stipulated in Clause C.2.1 at the tender closing date, are

eligible to tender.

Joint Ventures (JV) will be allowed on condition that one JV partner is a Targeted Enterprise. The JV partner

will, however, not contribute to sub-contract target for Targeted Enterprises.

Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender

prior to 04 December 2023. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving

addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

clarification briefing meeting will be held virtually on 5 December 2023 at 11h00.

CLOSING TIME, COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 11:00 on Thursday, 14 December 2023

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted.
