T1.1                 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1)

CLOSING DATE:     29 SEPTEMBER 2023 (AT 11:00)

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the rehabilitation of National Route R56 Section 8 from Matatiele (km 130.15) to KZN Border (km 168.71). This project is in the province of Eastern Cape in the district municipality of Alfred Nzo District Municipality and local municipality of Matatiele. The approximate duration is 43 months including 3 Months for the Mobilisation Period.

Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.

Only those tenderers who satisfy the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders: 

(a)    Companies that are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database with a company registration address in the Eastern Cape. 

(b)    Meet the minimum requirements for the key persons as stated in the Scope of Works.

(c)    Have been involved with at least three similar projects.

No Joint Ventures will be permitted due to the individual nature of this task.

Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date to Ms. Lee-Ann Nel who may be reached on Tel: 043 706 3635, or by e-mail at Lee-Ann Nel (lnel@gibb.co.za ). 

Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

Tender documents will be issued in electronic format in a return email and tenderers must have access to Microsoft © Word 2007 and Excel 2007 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0 or similar compatible software.

TENDERER’S MEETING

No compulsory tender clarification meeting will be applicable to this tender.

COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 11:00 on 29 SEPTEMBER 2023

Only tender offers submitted as specified in the Tender Data will be accepted.
