Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the Rehabilitation of internal and external roads and the upgrading of control systems at the Mantsole Traffic Control Centre on National Route 1 Section 23. This project is in the province of Limpopo and in the district municipality of Waterberg and the approximate duration is eight (8) months. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7 CE or higher. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 6 CEPE or lower will not be accepted. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. Joint venture tenders are encouraged by the offer of preference points, as defined in the Tender Data, which are made available to tenders that create a joint venture between the main tenderer and category 5CE or lower tenderer(s). The physical address for collection of tender documents is 38 Ida Street, Menlopark, Pretoria where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 8 August 2011. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 1045510073, Call Rosie at SANRAL office (012 426 6206) for reference number. Do not make a payment without a reference. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD. A compulsory pre-tender meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at the Mantsole Traffic Control Centre located adjacent to the northbound lane of the N1/23 between Pretoria and Bela-Bela on 11 August 2011 starting at10h00 The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 16 September 2011. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
