Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1) The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for NATIONAL ROUTE 1 SECTION 29: THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE MUSINA RING-ROAD. This project is in the province of Limpopo and in the district municipality of Musina. The approximate duration is 30 Months. Only tenderers who have access to a suitably qualified and experienced construction manager (Contractor’s Representative), who will be the single point accountability and responsibility for the management of the construction works, and who is registered with SACPCMP as PrCM or ECSA as PrEng and PrTechEng are eligible to tender. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 9CE. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8 CEPE or lower will not be accepted. The primary criterion in selection, apart from the qualification and experience of the construction manager (Contractor’s Representative), CIDB grading and costs, will be the degree to which the tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. TENDER DOCUMENTS Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format on CD. Tenderers must have access to MS Office 2007 and Acrobat Adobe 9.0, or similar compatible software. The physical address for collection of tender documents is Regional Manager, Northern Region, South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited, 38 Ida Street, Menlo Park, Pretoria where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 27 July 2015. TENDERER’S MEETING A compulsory tender clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at Tovey Lodge Conference Facility, Musina, located next to road R572, approximately 2km from the R572/N1-29 intersection, on Tuesday the 4th of August 2015, starting at 11:00. Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive. COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on Friday the 11th of September 2015. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the tender clarification meeting will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
