Tender Notice: | ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE OF NATIONAL ROUTE 2 SECTIONS 6 TO 8: RIVERSDALE TO SOUT RIVER SUBCONTRACT MD8 FOR THE ROAD MARKING OF NATIONAL ROUTE N2 SECTION 6 FROM KM 0.00 TO KM 82.508 AND SECTION 7 KM 0.0 TO KM 43.6 T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (SBD1) MD Civils invites tenders from experienced EME/QSE Road Marking Subcontractors for Subcontract MD8 for the Road Marking of National Route N2 Section 6 from km 0.00 to km 82.508 and Section 7 km 0.0 to km 43.6 under the direction of the South African National Roads Agency SOC limited (SANRAL). This project is in the province of Western Cape and in the Garden Route District Municipalities. The approximate duration is 6 weeks. Only tenderers who are at least 51% Black owned with a B-BBEE Level 1 to 2 and who is an EME, EME start-up or QSE are eligible to tender. Tenderers must be registered on the National Treasury Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and they must be Tax Compliant with the South African Revenue Services (SARS). Tenderers must be actively registered with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) in their respective contractor grading designation of 3SK or higher, and status as potentially emerging (PE), are eligible to tender. However, tenderers attention is drawn to clause 4.1.1 of the Tender Data when submitting their tender. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. SUBCONTRACT TENDER DOCUMENTS Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format on CD. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft Office © 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0, or similar compatible software. The physical address for collection of tender documents is from MD Civils Site Offices: 82 Cradock Street, George where tender documents may be collected from Monday 4 November 2019 during the hours 09:00 to 16:00 (Monday to Friday). Please be advised that the route will not be traveled and that it will be the responsibility of each tenderer to acquaint themselves with the route and its condition. COMPULSORY TENDERERS’ MEETING There will be no compulsory tender clarification meeting. COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14:00 on Friday 22 November 2019 Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the tender clarification meeting will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for completing, sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
