TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER CLOSING DATE (AT 14:00): 12 NOVEMBER 2010 The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the rehabilitation of National Route 9 Section 7 from Wolwefontein (km 63.90) to Colesberg (km 94.60) including a new N1/N9 interchange at Colesberg. This project is in the province of the Northen Cape and in the district municipality of Pixley Ka Seme and the approximate duration is 36 months. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 9CE or higher. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8 CEPE or lower will not be accepted. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. Joint Venture tenders are encouraged by the offer of preference points as defined in the Tender Data, which are made available to tenders that create a joint venture between the main tenderer and category 7CE or lower tenderer(s). Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD. TENDERERS MEETING A compulsory tenderer’s clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at the Merino Inn Colesberg on Thursday 14 October 2010 starting at 11h00. Submissions of tenderers who arrive late at the Clarification Meeting shall be regarded as non-responsive. COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 14:00 on 12 November 2010 at SANRAL Western region offices. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender data.
