Tender Notice: | Interdesign Landscape Architects, as sub-consultants to BKS Engineering Consultants invites tenders from qualified Service Providers on behalf of the South African National Roads Agency (SOC) Limited (SANRAL) for conducting a Social Impact Assessment and an Economic Impact Assessment as part of the planning of the route determination / preliminary design of the proposed new ring road for Ermelo. Accordingly, tenderers are requested to submit all relevant returnable schedules for use in the evaluation of the tender. SANRAL is committed to transformation, employment equity and staff advancement, and to supporting black economic empowerment. The primary criterion in selection, apart from costs, will be the degree to which the Tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. A further consideration will naturally be the equity profile of the Tenderer in management, ownership and implementation. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. The physical address for collection of tender documents is 38 Ida Street, Menlo Park, 0081, where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday) from the 5th November 2012 A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to SANRAL, Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 01045510073, Reference: (call SANRAL office (012) 426 6200 (Rosie / Christina) for reference number). Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. The Employer reserves the right to award the tender as a whole or in part and also is under no obligation to accept the lowest tender. The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 27th of November 2012. The tender closes at the SANRAL Northern Region Office (38 Ida Street, Menlo Park, Pretoria). Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued. Requirements for completing, sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data. TENDERER’S MEETING A compulsory tenderer’s clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL, BKS and ILA will take place at SANRAL Northern Region Office (38 Ida Street, Menlo Park, Pretoria) on 8 November 2012 starting at 14h00. Submissions of tenderers who arrive late at the Clarification Meeting shall be regarded as non-responsive.
