Tender Notice: | TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1) CLOSING DATE (AT 14:00): FRIDAY, 20 JANUARY 2017 The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and hand-over of the new Roadway Lighting Installation along National Route 7 sections 1 and 2 between Abbotsdale (km 48.6 and 52.27) and Voortrekker Road Interchange (km 3.9). This project is in the province of Western Cape and in the Swartland municipal area. The approximate duration is 12 months, and shall suite the programme of the Main Contractor. Tenderers shall have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 6EP or higher. The primary criterion in selection, apart from the qualification and experience of the construction supervisor, CIDB grading and costs, will be the degree to which the tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. Preferences are therefore offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. TENDER DOCUMENTS Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format on CD. Tenderers must have access to MS Office 2007 and Acrobat Adobe 9.0, or similar compatible software. The physical address for collection of tender documents is SANRAL Western Region, 1 Havenga Street, Oakdale, Bellville, 7530 where documents may be collected during the hours 09h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 25 November 2016. TENDERER’S MEETING A compulsory tender clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at AECOM’s Stefanutti Stocks Power Consortium Site Office, Bloemmendal Road, Abbotsdale, Malmesbury on Thursady 1st December 2016 starting at 10h00. Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive. COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on Friday 20th January 2017 at SANRAL offices, 1 Havenga Street, Oakdale, Bellville Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the tender clarification meeting will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
