Tender Notice: | The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) invites firms with Vegetation & Biodiversity Impact Assessment experience to submit a tender to undertake a Vegetation & Biodiversity Impact Assessment for Contract NRA 800102Bw.Du./1D for the Route location of possible bypasses at Butterworth and Dutywa, on National Route N2 section 17 and 18. The project falls within the Mnquma and Mbhashe Local Municipalities in the province of the Eastern Cape. A clarification meeting will not be held, but it is essential that prospective tenderers familiarise themselves with the site. Only tenderers who have access to a suitably qualified and experienced Specialist are eligible to tender. The primary criterion in selection, apart from the qualification and experience of the Specialist and costs, will be the degree to which the tenderer can demonstrate apprioriate knowledge and expertise. The minimum qualifications for the Specialist include: Must have at least 8 years’ experience in this specialist field. Must be able to demonstrate experience of undertaking specialist studies in support of environmental impact assessments in general and specific to new road schemes. Preferably be a Registered Professional Specialist and/or demonstrate membership to the professional body where applicable. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.
