Tender Notice: | The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 18 July 2014 The address for submission of tender documents is: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd Southern Region: Delivery Address: SANRAL House, Southern Life Gardens 70 Second Avenue Newton Park Port Elizabeth Tel: (041) 398 3200 GIBB (Pty) Ltd invites tenders on behalf of the Applicant, the South African National Roads Agency SOC limited, for the Subservice of managing the environmental application processes for the improvement on National Route N2 Section 14 and 15 from Green River (Km 60.0) to Zwelitsha Intersection (Km 6.0) and the new Breidbach Interchange (Km 9.8). This project is in the province of the Eastern Cape and in the district municipality of Buffalo City Metropolitan area. The approximate programme is for design and construction documentation to be completed by August 2015, followed by supervision of 36 months, commencing January 2016. The Applicant is committed to transformation, employment equity and staff advancement, and to supporting black economic empowerment. The primary criterion in selection, apart from costs, will be the degree to which the Tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. A further consideration will naturally be the equity profile of the Tenderer in management, ownership and implementation. Preferences are, therefore, offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. Only tenderers with at least eight (8) years of practical post graduate experience (as an environmental practitioner) are eligible to submit tenders. It will be an advantage for the tenderer to be registered with the Environmental Division of the South African Council of Natural Science Professionals (SAC Pr Sci Nat) and demonstrate membership to the professional body of Environmental Assessment Practitioners of South Africa (EAPSA).
