Tender Notice: | SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL ROADS AGENCY LIMITED T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for GAUTENG FREEWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (GFIP): WORK PACKAGE E1 AND E2 - IMPROVEMENTS TO MODULE E1: NATIONAL ROUTE 3, SECTION 12: HEIDELBERG RD (km 11.85) TO GELDENHUIS INTERCHANGE (km 25,00) AND MODULE E2: NATIONAL ROUTE 12 SECTION 18 BETWEEN READING INTERCHANGE (km 11,40) & ELANDS INTERCHANGE (km 17,00): PROVISION OF ROAD MARKINGS AND ROADSTUDS. This project is in the province of Gauteng and the approximate duration of the subcontract is twelve (12) months. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading of 4SK or higher. SANRAL is committed to Government’s objectives for Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE), community participation, and the use and development of Black Enterprises (BEs) and Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). Tenderers are required to seek the participation of the medium and small enterprises in order to mobilise their requisite capacity to handle the specific Subcontract in terms of the requirements of this tender. The physical address for collection of tender documents is the Regional Office of the South African National Roads Agency Ltd, Room 8, Ground Floor, 38 Ida Street, Menlo Park, Pretoria, where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday) as from Friday, 19 November 2010. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 01045510073, Reference: Call SANRAL office at 012-426 6206/00 (Rosie) for reference number. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD. A compulsory pre-tender meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at the Site Office, Siyavaya Highway Construction Joint Venture, 404 Southern Klipriviersberg Rd, Steeledale, Wednesday, 24 November 2010, starting at 10h00. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on Friday 10 December 2010. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted.
