Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER 1. The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for Repair/Reseal of National Route 18 Sections 2 to 6: Northern Cape/North West boundary to Mafikeng, which is a term contract according to CIDB Regulation 25(1)(b). This project is in the North West Province and in the district municipality of Vryburg and the approximate duration is 18 months. 2. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8 CE or higher. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7 CEPE or lower will not be accepted. “Joint†Venture tenders are encouraged by the offer of bonus preference points, as defined in the Tender Data, which are made available to tenders that create a joint venture between the main tenderers and category 6CE or lower tenderer(s). 3. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. The physical address for collection of tender documents is 38 Ida Street, Menlo Park where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 29 June 2010. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 01045510073, Reference: NRA N.018-026-2009/1 and Company name or call SANRAL office 012 426 6200 for reference number. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD. A compulsory pre-tender meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Vryburg (41 Market Street, Vryburg) on 6 July 2010 starting at 10:00. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 23 July 2010. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
