Tender Notice: | The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the provision of Full Consulting Engineering Services for the periodic maintenance to restore the functional properties, of the National Route 1 Section 18 between Kroonvaal Toll Plaza (Km 68.2) and Vaal River (Km 78.2). This project is in the province of Free State and in the district municipality of Ngwathe (DC 20). The approximate programme is for design and construction documentation to be completed by February 2012, followed by supervision of 6 months which must start after 30 September 2012. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. TENDER DOCUMENTS The physical address for the collection of tender documents is: The Regional Manager (Eastern Region) 58 van Eck Place Mkondeni Pietermaritzburg 3201 Where documents are to be collected from 03 May 2011 during the hours 08:00 to 16:00 (Monday to Friday). A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), Bank: Absa Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number 1045510073. Call SANRAL office, number 033 386 6284, for reference number. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documentation will be issued in electronic form on CD and tenderers must have access to Microsoft ©Word 2007 and Excel 2007 and Acrobat ©9.0 or similar compatible software. TENDERER’S MEETING A compulsory tenderer’s clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at: 58 van Eck Place Mkondeni Pietermaritzburg 3201 on 6 May 2011 starting at 11:00hrs. Submissions of tenderers who arrive late at the Clarification Meeting may be regarded as non-responsive. COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14:00 on 20 May 2011. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for completing, sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
