Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the rehabilitation of National Route 8 Section 10 from Kloofeind (KM 63,0) to Walter Sisulu Road (formally known as Haldon Road) Interchange (KM 75,3). This project is in the province of the Free State and in the district municipality of Motheo and the metro municipality of Mangaung. The approximate duration is 20 Months. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 9CE or higher. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8CEPE or lower will not be accepted. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. The physical address for collection of tender documents is 58 Van Eck Place, Mkondeni, Pietermaritzburg, where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 18 October 2013. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 1045510073, Reference: Call SANRAL 033 392 8100, for a reference number. Payment without a reference number should not be made, and it must be noted that payment at the SANRAL office will not be accepted. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD and tenderers must have access to MS Office 2007 and Acrobat Adobe 9.0, or similar compatible software. A compulsory tender clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at Aurecon’s Offices, Hydro Park, 135 President Reitz Avenue, Westdene, Bloemfontein on 23 October 2013 starting at 10:00. Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 22 November 2013. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the clarification meeting will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
