Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER 1 The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for Contract NRA N011-020-2009/1 : The construction of the Helpmekaar interchange on National Route 11, Section 2 (km 7.28) which is a term contract according to CIDB regulation 25(1)(b). This project is in the province of Kwa Zulu-Natal, uThukela District Municipality and the eMnambithi local municipality and the approximate duration is 18 months 2 Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 9CE . Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8CEPE or lower will not be accepted. 3. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. “Joint venture tenders are encouraged by the offer of preference points, as defined in the Tender Data, which are made available to tenders that create a joint venture between the main tenderer and category 7CEâ€. The physical address for collection of tender documents is South African National Roads Agency, Eastern Region, 58 van Eck Place, Mkondeni, Pietermaritzburg where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from Monday 27th September 2010. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 1045510073 (Reference: NRA N011-020-2009/1) and Company name. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD. A compulsory site visit and clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at the Royal Hotel, Murchison Street, Ladysmith on Friday 1st October 2010 starting at 10h00. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on Friday 29th October 2010. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
