Tender Notice: | The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for CONTRACT NRA N011-030-2015/1: PERIODIC MAINTENANCE (RESEAL) ON NATIONAL ROUTE 11 SECTION 3 FROM MAIN ROAD 35 (KM 36.1) TO NEWCASTLE SOUTH (KM 52.3). This project is in the province of KwaZulu Natal and in the district municipality of Amajuba. The approximate duration is 8 months. Only tenderers who have access to a suitably qualified and experienced construction manager who will be the single point accountability and responsibility for the management of the construction works, and who is registered with SACPCMP as PrCM or ECSA as PrEng and PrTechEng are eligible to tender. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8 CE or higher. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7 CEPE or lower will not be accepted. The primary criterion in selection, apart from the qualification and experience of the construction manager, CIDB grading and costs, will be the degree to which the tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. The physical address for collection of tender documents is SANRAL Eastern Region, 58 van Eck Place, Modena, Pietermaritzburg, 3201 where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 20 November 2014 A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 1045510073, Reference: Call SANRAL at 033-392 8100, contact person Mr Sanele Ngubane, for a reference number. Payment without a reference number should not be made, and it must be noted that payment at the SANRAL office will not be accepted. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD and tenderers must have access to MS Office 2007and Acrobat Adobe 9.0, or similar compatible software. A compulsory tender clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at Zinyati Lodge, Roy Point Farm, Main Road – N11/3, next to the Engen fuelling station on the N11/3, Newcastle on 27 November 2014 starting at 10h00. Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 16 January 2015. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the tender clarification meeting will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
