The address for submission of tender documents is: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd 58 van ECK PLACE MKONDENI PIETERMARITZBURG 3204 Ingérop South Africa invites tenders on behalf of the South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited, for the Subservice of providing an Environmental Control Officer to monitor and ensure compliance with the Environmental Management Plan of Contract NRA R022-050-2014/1, Periodic Maintenance of National Route R22 Section 5 from Phelendaba Circle (km0.0) to Manguzi (km22.0). This project is in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal and in the district municipality of Umkhanyakude. The approximate programme is for construction to commence on 1 October 2014, with a contract period of eight (8) months.. The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited is committed to transformation, employment equity and staff advancement, and to supporting black economic empowerment. The primary criterion in selection, apart from costs, will be the degree to which the Tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. A further consideration will naturally be the equity profile of the Tenderer in management, ownership and implementation. Preferences are, therefore, offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. Only tenderers with at least five (5) years of relevant experience with an accredited diploma in Environmental or Natural Sciences or equivalent are eligible to submit tenders. It will be an advantage for the tenderer to be registered with the Environmental Division of the South African Council of Natural Science Professionals (SAC Pr Sci Nat) and demonstrate membership to the professional body of Environmental Assessment Practitioners of South Africa (EAPSA). Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD and tenderers must have access to Microsoft © Word 2007 and Excel 2007 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0 or similar compatible software. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
