Tender Notice: | The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for Contract no NRA R730-010-2011/1F-DS1. Thabong Interchange Subsurface Investigation on the Consulting Engineering Services for the Detailed Design and Construction Monitoring of the Thabong Interchange and the Associated Works on the National Route R730 Section 1 Km 14.00 (NRA R730-010-2011/1 F). This project is in the province of the Free State in the Lejweleputswa District Municipality. The Thabong Interchange is located along the R730 in the Free State Province approximately 150 km from Bloemfontein. The subsurface investigation will be done in three, separate and independent, phases and will involve the drilling of a total of forty-six rotary cored boreholes at five highway bridge sites and two pedestrian bridge sites. The approximate duration of Phases 1, 2 and 3 is 9, 13 and 11 days, respectively, with 4No rotary core rigs being required for the drilling in Phases 1 and 2 and 2No rotary rigs for Phase 3. Test pits will be excavated at one Highway Bridge and at proposed culvert locations. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 1045510073, Reference: Call SANRAL Mr Sanele Ngubane 033 392 8100, for a reference number. Payment without a reference number should not be made, and it must be noted that payment at the SANRAL office will not be accepted. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD and tenderers must have access to MS Office 2007 and Acrobat Adobe 9.0, or similar compatible software. No compulsory tenderer’s clarification meeting will be held. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on Friday, 25 October 2013 Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the pre-clarification meeting will not be accepted.
