Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the provision of: Labour Intensive Construction Management and Training Services for the following Projects: Mpophomeni Access Road The project comprises the construction of approximately 4,0 km of informal gravel road to surface standards, including a low level river crossing and a footpath along the cliff adjoining the Ngcenge/Qolombo Villages at the bottom to the access road on the top of the cliff leading to the Bambisana Hospital. The other leg traverses from the Bambisana Hospital to Kwazweni Senior Primary School for approximately 4,5 km. The total length of the project is approximately 8,5 km. Matheko River to Msikaba AA Access Road The project comprises the construction of approximately 12 km of gravel and track roads to a surfaced and 4 km of informal track roads to gravel standards (ring road). Ingquza Hill to Mangwanini Access Road The project comprises the construction of approximately 10,5 km of gravel road including a low level bridge structure and ancillary works from the AC60272 forming a ‘Y’ split to both Mhlwazini and Ramzi Villages in Ward 27 in the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality. These projects are in the Province of the Eastern Cape and in the OR Tambo District Municipality and the approximate programme for training and construction is between 14 and 18 months depending on the Contract. It is a requirement that the works be constructed using labour-intensive methods. The tenderer may choose to Tender for one, two or all three of the above mentioned Contracts. The tenders will be adjudicated individually and as a whole. The successful tenderer shall not perform any significant portion of the construction or administration of the project without the guidance of a person who has successfully completed training at NQF 5 unit standard “Manage Labour intensive Construction Projectsâ€. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. The physical address for collection of tender documents is SANRAL House, Block C, Southern Life Gardens, 70 Second Avenue, Newton Park, 6045 where documents may be collected from 21st May 2010 during the hours 09h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday). Tender documents shall be issued in electronic format on CD. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 1045510073, Reference: P.002-039/040-2006/1 &.002-050-2010/1 together with Company name. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. A compulsory tenderer’s clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at N’taba River Lodge, Port St John’s, on 2nd June 2010 starting at 10h00. Following the briefing, prospective tenderer’s will be taken to the respective sites. Should prospective tenderer’s elect to undertake additional, more detailed site inspections, it is recommended that they make use of 4 wheel drive vehicles. Submissions of tenderers who arrive late at the Clarification Meeting may be regarded as non-responsive. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for completing, sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data. |
