Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1) The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for The Resurfacing of National Road R34 Section 1 From Vryburg (km 0,0) To km 31,0. This project is in the province of North West and in the district municipality of DR Ruth Segomotsi Mompati. The approximate duration is 10 Months as per Pricing Schedule item 13.01(c). Only tenderers who have access to a suitably qualified and experienced construction manager (Contractor’s Representative) who will be the single point accountability and responsibility for the management of the construction works, and who is registered with SACPCMP as PrCM or ECSA as PrEng or PrTechEng are eligible to tender. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8CE or higher. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7 CEPE or lower will not be accepted. The primary criterion in selection, apart from the qualification and experience of the construction manager (Contractor’s Representative), CIDB grading and costs, will be the degree to which the tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. Preferences are therefore offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. The physical address for collection of tender documents is 38 Ida Street, Menlo Park, 0081, Pretoria where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 24 April 2015. A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 1045510073, Reference: Call SANRAL (012) 426 6206 Rosie Kilian, for a reference number. Payment without a reference number should not be made, and it must be noted that payment at the SANRAL office will not be accepted. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD and tenderers must have access to MS Office 2007 and Acrobat Adobe 9.0, or similar compatible software. A compulsory tender clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at Lockerbie Lodge, 55 Vry street, Vryburg on 5 May 2015 starting at 12:00. Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 22 May 2015. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the tender clarification meeting will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
