Tender Notice: | T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1) The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for THE RESURFACING OF NATIONAL ROAD R49 SECTION 2 FROM KM 50 TO KOPFONTEIN GATE (KM 101.43). This project is in the North West province and in the district of Ngaka Modiri Molema and in the local municipality of Ramotshere Moiloa. The approximate duration is 8 months. Only tenderers who have access to a suitably qualified and experienced Contracts Manager (Contractor’s Representative) who will be the single point accountability and responsibility for the management of the construction works, and who is registered with SACPCMP as Pr. CM or ECSA as Pr. Eng and Pr. Tech. Eng are eligible to tender. Tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 8CE or higher. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7 CEPE or lower will not be accepted. The primary criterion in selection, apart from the qualification and experience of the Contracts Manager (Contractors Representative), CIDB grading and costs, will be the degree to which the tenderer can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. TENDER DOCUMENTS Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format on CD. Tenderers must have access to MS Office 2007 and Acrobat Adobe 9.0, or similar compatible software. The physical address for collection of tender documents is 38 Ida Street, Menlo Park, 0081, Pretoria where documents may be collected during the hours 08h00 to 16h00 (Monday to Friday), from 30 May 2016. TENDERER’S MEETING A compulsory tender clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place at SANRAL Northern Region on 08 June 2016 starting at 14h00 Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting and their submissions shall be declared non-responsive. COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14h00 on 21 June 2016. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile, late tenders and submissions from tenderers who arrived late at the tender clarification meeting will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
