Tender Notice: | SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL ROADS AGENCY LIMITED CONTRACT NRA X004-023-2010/1 ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE ON NATIONAL ROUTE 2 SECTIONS 23 TO 26: HIBBERDENE TO UMDLOTI AND NATIONAL ROUTE 3 SECTIONS 1 TO 4 DURBAN TO CEDARA T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the Routine Road Maintenance on National Route 2 Sections 23 to 26: Hibberdene to Umdloti and National Route 3 Sections 1 to 4 Durban to Cedara. This project is in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Only tenderers who are registered with the Construction Industry Development Board with a contractor grading designation of 7CE or higher, are eligible to tender. Tenders from tenderers with a CIDB contractor grading designation of 6CEPE or lower will not be accepted. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. Tender documents will be available as from 28 April 2010 and may be obtained from the Regional Manager, Eastern Region, South African National Roads Agency Limited, 58 Van Eck Place, Mkondeni, Pietermaritzburg (Tel. 033-3928100) during the hours 08:00 to 16:00 (Monday to Friday). A non-refundable fee of R300.00 is required, payable by means of direct deposit or electronic funds transfer to The South African National Roads Agency Limited (SANRAL), Bank: ABSA Bank Limited, Branch Number: 335545, Account Number: 01045510073, Reference X004-003-2010/1 and Company name. Proof of payment must be provided on the collection of Tender Documentation. Tender documents will be issued in electronic format on CD. A compulsory tenderers’ clarification meeting with representatives of SANRAL will take place on Wednesday 5 May 2010 at 10:00 at Maritzburg Golf Club, New England Road, Pietermaritzburg. The closing time for receipt of tenders is 14:00 on Thursday 20 May 2010. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued. Requirements for completing, sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
