T 1.1       INVITATION FOR QUOTATION TO UNDERTAKE AN INDEPENDENT ROAD SAFETY AUDIT

CLOSING DATE (AT 11:00): TUESDAY 21 MAY 2024

Royal Mndawe Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Trading as ROMH Consulting) was appointed by the South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) to provide consulting engineering services for the Upgrade of the National Road R512, Section 20 from NW/GP border (km 15.8) to R104 (km 23.5)

The entire scope of the project is to perform an assessment of the road, improve the vertical and horizontal alignments, access management plan, improve safety at intersections, consideration for climbing lanes, ensure adequate pavement capacity for the design period of 30 years, and upgrade of some minor culverts to major culverts, as well as preliminary design and detailed design of the above road.

The scope of the sub-services of the project is to conduct a road safety audit (stage 1 and stage 3) of the existing and designed road upgrade of National Road R512, Section 20 from NW/GP border (km 15.8) to R104 (km 23.5)

Firms with road safety and traffic engineering experience are therefore invited to submit a quote to undertake an independent Road Safety Audit. A clarification meeting will not be held, but prospective tenderers must familiarise themselves with the site.

Tenderers must have access to Microsoft © Office 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0 or similar compatible software.

Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1: Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date.  Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF QUOTATIONS

The closing time and date for submission of quotations is 11h00 on 21 MAY 2024.

Only quotation offers submitted electronically on CD/flash drive and delivered to the address specified in the Tender Data will be accepted.

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile, and late tenders will not be accepted. 

Quotations may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Quotation Data.
