INVITATION FOR QUOTATION TO UNDERTAKE AN INDEPENDENT ROAD SAFETY AUDIT

CLOSING DATE (AT 11:00): Tuesday, 2 May 2023

Royal Mndawe Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Trading as ROMH Consulting) was appointed by the South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) to provide consulting engineering services for the Improvement of Section 8 of the National Road R30 from Klerksdorp (km 0.0) to Buffelsvallei (km 37.0).

The improvement of the R30 Section 8 is one of the four (4) projects of a larger initiative to improve the National Road R30 between Klerksdorp and Olifants Nek. The other three projects and the appointed consulting engineers are as follows:

-        ROMH Consulting (Pty) Ltd, appointed for the Improvement of Section 9 of The National Road R30 from Ventersdorp (km 0.0) to km 29.0.

-        Ndodana Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd, appointed for The Improvement of National Road R30 Section 8 from (km 36.8) to Ventersdorp (km 68.646).

-        Zutari (Pty) Ltd, appointed for The Improvement of National Road R30 Section 9 from (km 29.0) to R24 Olifantsnek (km 76.6).

 The entire scope of the project is to perform an assessment of the road, improving the vertical & horizontal alignments, access management plan, improve safety at intersections, consideration for climbing lanes, ensure adequate pavement capacity for the design period of 30 years and upgrading of some minor culverts to major culverts, as well as preliminary design and detailed design of the above road.

The scope of the sub-services of project is to conduct a road safety audit (stage 1 and stage 3) of the existing and designed road upgrade of National Road R30 from Klerksdorp (km 0.0) to Buffelsvallei (km 37.0).

Only Consulting Engineering Firms with a B-BBEE contributor status level of 1 or 2, are eligible to submit quotations.

Firms with road safety and traffic engineering experience are therefore invited to submit a quote to undertake an independent Road Safety Audit. A clarification meeting will not be held, but it is essential that prospective tenderers familiarise themselves with the site.

Tenderers must have access to Microsoft © Office 2013 and Acrobat Adobe © 9.0 or similar compatible software.

Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1: Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date.  Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF QUOTATIONS

The closing time and date for submission of quotations is 11h00 on 2 May 2023.

 Only quotation offers submitted electronically on CD / flash drive and delivered to the address specified in the Tender Data will be accepted.

 Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted.

 Quotations may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Quotation Data.
