T1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (INCORPORATING SBD1)
CONTRACT SANRAL N.001-192-2018/1
FOR THE OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE OF N1 SOUTH AND R30 TOLL PLAZAS ON NATIONAL ROUTE N1 AND R30
CLOSING DATE (at 11:00): WEDNESDAY, 12 APRIL 2023
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for the Operations and Maintenance of N1 South and R30 Toll Plazas on the National Route N1 and R30. This project is in the provinces of Gauteng, and Free State in the District Municipalities of Lejeweleputswa, Mangaung, Fezile Dabi Emfuleni and City of Johannesburg. The approximate duration is 73.5 months including 6 weeks for the Establishment Period. The approximate duration includes the Design-Build and Operation Service Period. Note: the successful tenderer shall be required to appoint a Nominated Subcontractor that will be nominated by SANRAL, for the Design Build Operations and Maintenance of the Toll System for this project.
Only Tenderers who have a B-BBEE contributor status level of 1, 2, 3 or 4, are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and meet the minimum requirements for Tenderer’s relevant experience as stated in clause C.2.1(c) of the Tender Data are eligible to tender. It is a requirement of this project that the successful tenderer subcontract a minimum of thirty percent (30%) of the work by the end of the contract to Targeted Enterprise(s) as defined in the Contract Data.

Tender documents are available from 14 December 2022 at no cost in electronic format downloaded from the SANRAL’s website by the following link: https://www.nra.co.za/sanraltenders/status?region_id=national. Tenderers must have access to MS Office ©2013 and Acrobat Adobe ©9.0, or similar compatible software.
Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender by 24 January 2023. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive
TENDERER’S MEETING
A non-compulsory clarification briefing meeting will be held at Grasmere mainline plaza, Control building, on 6 February 2023 at 14:00. A tenderer’s representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the tender briefing meeting.
COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS
The closing time for receipt of tenders is 11h00 on 12 April 2023. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data. T-6 Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
