TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Surfacing Seal Works on the N2 Sections for March 2025.
Eastern Cape, 18 March 2025: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that surface seal works are planned between Colchester and Ncanarha for the following dates in March 2025.
- Wednesday, 19th March 2025
- Thursday, 20th March 2025
- Monday, 24th March 2025
- Tuesday, 25th March 2025
- Wednesday, 26th March 2025
- Thursday, 27th March 2025
All Surface Seal works on the above dates will take place between 08h00 and 14h00.
There will be a STOP-GO under the N2/N10 bridge only, on the 19th of March 2025 for ten minutes to allow sufficient time for road preparation and to make it safer for the travelling public.
Over the remaining period, temporary lane diversions with traffic accommodation will be implemented between the N2 km 0.0 to km 8.8 in both directions, including the off-ramp No. 797 towards Makhanda. Single lane traffic with no passing at work areas will be implemented.
“Motorists are requested to plan their trips, accordingly, consider alternative routes and use caution when making use of the roads,” said Mbulelo Peterson, SANRAL’s Eastern Cape Provincial Head.
