EXPRESSION OF INTEREST NOTICE CLOSING DATE:

Roadmac Surfacing (Pty) Ltd invites submissions from EME/QSE subcontractors/ suppliers for CONTRACT SANRAL R.021-020-2020/9 - FOR THE ASPHALT OVERLAY ON NATIONAL ROAD R21 SECTION 2 BETWEEN OLIFANTSFONTEIN INTERCHANGE (KM 0,0) AND HANS STRYDOM (SOLOMON MAHLANGU) INTERCHANGE (KM 19,023) endorsed by The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL)

. The project is located within the City of Tshwane and City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipalities in Gauteng Province.

Subcontractors and suppliers are invited to submit an Expression of Interest for the following scope of works:

• Subsoil drains.

• Concrete Type F drains.

• Crack sealing.

• Guardrails.

• Road signs.

• Road marking and road studs.

• Culverts. • Concrete U-drains.

• Milling of Asphalt.

• Asphalt production.

• Site security.

• Provision and maintenance of chemical toilets.

• Provision of hauling services for milling.

• OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) training provider.

Opportunities may vary depending on the final Scope of Work.

It is anticipated that prospective subcontractors will be required to hold an active CIDB Contractor Grading Designation ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 4, with CE being the applicable class of construction work for most of the works, except for road-marking works, where the SK class of construction work will also be applicable. OHS training providers must be registered as a Skills Development Provider (SDP) with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and must be accredited to provide the relevant OHS training and skills programme.

Where an application for the reinstatement of Active status or for an upgrade of status has been submitted to the CIDB in writing and the decision is pending, proof of the application and acknowledgement of receipt by the CIDB shall be provided.

The applicant is to note, however, that should the reinstatement of status or upgrade not be confirmed by the CIDB by the closing date of the tender process, the tenderer/applicant will no longer be considered.

The following documentation will be required from prospective tenderers to qualify for the work:

• Company Profile, including relevant prior experience.

• Company registration documents (CIPC Documents) and Shareholders Information.

• Identity Documents of Directors. • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (SARS issued pin).

• Valid B-BBEE certificate/ Sworn affidavit. (Indicate Disabled/ Military Veteran ownership, where applicable)

• Letter of Good Standing (FEM or COIDA). • CIDB Certificate (If applicable).

• Registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).

The Expression of Interest is for information-gathering purposes only. All subcontract tenders will be advertised and will be open to all eligible entities to tender, irrespective of whether they have responded to the Expression of Interest or not.
