The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) on behalf of Imbawula Civil Projects (Pty) Ltd invites Joint Ventures between suitably experienced, SANAS accredited laboratories and Targeted Partners for the undertaking of the site laboratory sub-services in accordance with SANS 3001 for the:

CONTRACT SANRAL S.004-005-2020/1RC-SL

SUB-CONTRACT FOR SITE MATERIALS LABORATORY FOR ISANDLWANA ROADS UPGRADE – PACKAGE 1 [UPGRADE OF PROVINCIAL ROAD P372].

This project is in the province of KwaZulu Natal and in the district municipality of uMzinyathi and the approximate duration is 20 months, commencing February 2026.

Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.

The tenderers will be evaluated on functionality (quality) criteria with a threshold of 75%.

Only tenderer who are a Joint Ventures (JV), meet the minimum requirements for the key persons and are registered on CSD as stated in clause C 2.1 will be eligible to tender.

Tenderers must submit, via email to, admin@imbawulacp.co.za the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender prior to 12 December 2025. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

Option 2: Non-compulsory clarification meeting

A tender clarification briefing presentation is available to be downloaded from the SANRAL website by

A non- compulsory clarification briefing meeting will be held via a virtual platform on 8 January 2026 at 11h00 where the project will be presented. A link to the clarification briefing meeting will be sent to tenderers who complete and submit a Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender (Form A1.1).

A tenderer’s representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the tender briefing meeting

COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 11:00 on 30 January 2026

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, e-mail, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted.
