T 1.1 TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for NRA2024/0341 - THE URGENT ROUTINE ROAD MAINTENANCE ON NATIONAL ROAD R392 SECTION 3: R58 INTERSECTION – DR8560 INTERSECTION, A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 44.40KM (H), NATIONAL ROAD R393 SECTION 2: PALMIETFONTEIN – TELLE BRIDGE BORDER POST, A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 3.03KM (I), NATIONAL ROAD R726 SECTION 1: PALMIETFORNTEIN – DR8605 INTERSECTION, A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 18.77 KM .
This project is in the province of the Eastern Cape in the Enoch Mgijima District Municipality. The approximate duration is twelve (12) months
CIDB Regulation 25(1B) will not be applicable to this contract. Only tenderers who are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database as stated in the Tender Data C.2.1.1 are eligible to tender.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation of 7CE, however tenderers attention is drawn to clause C.2.1.1 of the Tender Data when submitting their tender offers.
Tenders from tenderers registered as potentially emerging enterprises but with a CIDB contractor grading designation lower than a contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered, or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, will not be accepted.
It is a requirement of this project that the successful tenderer subcontract a minimum of 30 percent (30%) of the work by the end of the contract to Targeted Enterprise(s) as defined in the Contract Data.

A Compulsory Briefing Session
A compulsory briefing session will be conducted Virtually on the 30th of April 2026, at 10H00am for a period of ± 2 hours. The briefing session link will go live an hour before to ensure tenders complete the register. Information will not be repeated for the benefit of Tenderers arriving late.

A tender representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the tender briefing meeting.
A tender-class briefing presentation will be sent to all Tenderers who attended the briefing session. It is the responsibility of the Tenderer to ensure they receive the presentation.
