The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) invites tenders for THE

CAPACITY IMPROVEMENT OF NATIONAL ROUTE 1 SECTION 1 FROM OLD OAK INTERCHANGE

(KM 18.90) TO KOELENHOF INTERCHANGE (KM 33.00).

This project is in the Western Cape Province and in the City of Cape Town Metropolitan and Drakenstein Municipalities. The approximate duration is 60 months including 4 months for the Mobilisation Period.

Only tenderers who are a CIDB contractor grading of 9CE as stated on the Tender Data may submit tender offers.

Tenders from tenderers registered as potentially emerging enterprises with a CIDB contractor grading

designation lower than a contractor grading designation required for this tender, will not be accepted.

CIDB Regulation 25(1B) will not be applicable to this tender.

Only tenderers who are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database are eligible to tender.

It is a requirement of this project that the successful tenderer subcontract a minimum of 30% of the work

by the end of the contract to Targeted Enterprise(s) as defined in the Contract Data.

A compulsory briefing session

A compulsory briefing session will be conducted Physically on Friday 20 November 2026, at 10H00

at SANRAL Auditorium, 1 Havenga Street, Oakdale, Bellville, 7530, for a period of ± 2 hours

followed by a site visit by bus. The briefing session will start punctually and information will not be

repeated for the benefit of Respondents arriving late.

Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate in the meeting, and their submissions shall be declared

non-responsive. A tenderer’s representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the tender briefing meeting.

A tender clarification briefing presentation will be sent to all Bidders who attended the briefing session.

It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure they receive the presentation.
