T 1.1 INVITATION FOR QUOTATION TO UNDERTAKE AN INDEPENDENT ROAD SAFETY AUDIT
CLOSING DATE (AT 14:00): Friday the 10th July 2026
Nyeleti/JG Afrika Joint Venture were appointed by the South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) for Contract NRA N.002-270-2015/2D for Consulting Engineering Services for the Upgrade to National Route 2 Section 27 from Ballito (km7,40) to Tinley Manor Interchange (km18,93). The project falls within the KwaDukuza Local Municipality.
The project entails the investigation and assessment of existing infrastructure, as well as the design of geometric improvements along the route. The appointment also includes procurement and administration and monitoring of the Works Contract.
The section of National Route 2 Section 27 from Ballito (km7,40) to Tinley Manor Interchange (km18,93) is to be improved by increasing the capacity by the addition of a third lane to the N2 mainline. This will include the upgrade of three interchanges: Shaka’s Rock I/C, Salt Rock I/C and Tinley Manor I/C. A Stage 3 road safety audit is thus required to review the detailed design of the proposed upgrade in its entirety.
Firms with road safety and traffic engineering experience are therefore invited to submit a quote to undertake an independent Road Safety Audit. A clarification meeting will not be held, but it is essential that prospective tenderers familiarise themselves with the site.
QUOTATION DOCUMENTS
Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1: Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being nonresponsive, if “any material amendment/s” contained in the addenda or additional information is not included in the tender offer/submission.
COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF QUOTATIONS
The closing time and date for submission of quotations is 14h00 on Friday the 10th July 2026.
Quotation offers to be submitted electronically via email.
Quotations may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Quotation Data.
