GEOTECHNICAL DRILLING FOR THE UPGRADE ON NATIONAL ROUTE N1 SECTION 28 FROM DWARSRIVER (KM 49.0) TO LOUIS TRICHARDT (KM 98.75)

T1.1             TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1)

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) on behalf of BVi Consulting Engineers Western Cape (Pty) Ltd invites suitably qualified tendereres for Sub-Contract SANRAL N.001-280-2020/2D-SS2: Geotechnical Drilling for the Upgrade on National Route N1 Section 28 from Dwarsriver (km 49.0) to Louis Trichardt (km 98.75). This project is in the province of Limpopo and in the local municipalities of Molemole and Makhado Local Municipalities, forming part the Capricorn and Vhembe District Municipalities.

The sub-contract will be completed in two phases as detailed in Part C4, Site Information. The approximate duration for Phase 1 of the investigation is 3,5 months and Phase 2 is 5 months.

CIDB Regulation 25(1B) will not be applicable to this contract.

It is a requirement of this project that the successful tenderer subcontract a minimum of 30 percent (30%) of the work by the end of the contract to Targeted Enterprise(s) as defined in the Contract Data.

No mandatory subcontracting requirements for EME.

Only tenderers who are registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database, are eligible to tender.

Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.

Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format downloaded from the SANRAL’s website by the following link https://www.nra.co.za/sanral-tenders/list/open-tenders. Tenderers must have access to MS Office ©2013 and Acrobat Adobe ©9.0, or similar compatible software.

Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date.  Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.

COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS

The closing time for receipt of tenders is 11h00 on Friday, 5 December 2025.

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, email, facsimile and late tenders will not be accepted.

Tenders may only be submitted in the format as stated in the Tender Data.

Requirements for sealing, addressing, delivery, opening and assessment of tenders are stated in the Tender Data.
